Booking with Uniglobe Travel will ensure your trip is conforming to your corporate travel policies.  Here's what we will do:

  • Book only through authorized channels and approved vendors

  • Understanding and adhering to your travel policy

  • Verify quarantine information (both domestic and international) 

  • Understand visa requirements and border restrictions that may impact your travel

  • Using preferred partners that offer flexible cancellation policies

  • Access the latest COVID-19 information to assess the risk level of your destination.  You can also access all current COVID-19 information and links on the Uniglobe Travel website

  • Confirm your medical insurance coverage and health needs

Getting Around

Rental or Ride-Share? Be sure to give thought whether a car rental or if a ride-share service is right for you.  When planning your ground transportation, we suggest you adhere to these best practices:

  • Avoid sharing rides and public transportation when possible

  • Booking with Uniglobe Travel where our preferred car rental partners, ensure their vehicles are thoroughly cleaned between each rental including upwards of 20 touchpoints such as key-fobs, steering wheel, seatbelts, door handles to name a few. 

  • If booking a car service, confirm with drivers what cleaning measures have been taken when entering the car and wear a mask throughout the journey

  • Sanitize or wash your hands before entering and after exiting the car

At the Airport

The most visible differences of change to the travel journey are apparent at the airport, including socially distanced lines, sanitation stations, and modified screening protocols. Plan for the following:

  • Arrive earlier than normal to account for changes in the screening and boarding processes

  • Wear a mask both at the airport and for the duration of your flight 

  • Check-in on your mobile device and use an E-boarding pass when possible

  • Abide by social distancing requirements for lines and seating areas

  • Uniglobe Travel will confirm what inflight services will be offered to determine if you need to bring snacks or refill your water bottle after security

  • Verify if restaurants and airline lounges are open 

  • Understand that temperature checks may be required and you may be denied boarding if you register a fever

Hotels have invested in mobile technology and forged new sanitation partnerships to prepare for the influx of travellers returning to the road. Uniglobe Travel will ensure that your hotel stay is with our hotel partners who conform to the highest of health and hygiene measures.  Some tips to remember while at a hotel:

  • Wear a mask in public spaces

  • Expect changes to food services and onsite amenities, including reduced restaurant hours, suspension of breakfast buffets, and modified or suspended services

  • Check to see if you need to request housekeeping as services may be reduced

Packing Tips 

Personal protection and sanitation have increased as a result of COVID-19. make sure you include these items in your carry-on luggage:

  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer (TSA and CATSA allow up to 12 oz/355 ml)

  • Multiple protective face coverings

  • Medical card indicating any underlying health conditions and necessary medication/allergies

  • Anti-bacterial wipes for sanitizing your phone, arm rests, door handles and other high-touch surfaces

  • Refillable water bottle to help keep you hydrated and healthy
